At a raw age of 18, Harshad Khadiwali made his first-class debut and only in his first ever innings of Ranji Trophy, the youngster showed nerves of steel with a composed knock of 40. Khadiwale was unfortunately run-out in that match; else it could have been a much better debut for him.

Harshad's maiden first-class century came against Tamil Nadu during 2007-08 season and as a result of few impressive knocks that season he was also picked up in the West Zone squad for Duleep Trophy. He was also a part of Pune Warriors in Indian Premier League 2011 but hardly got any chances due to the presence of other talented youngsters in the squad.
