Sihasak Phuangketkeow is a former Permanent Secretary of Thailand’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

He is also a former Visiting Senior Fellow in the Thailand Studies Programme of the ISEAS – Yusof Ishak Institute and an advisor to Thailand’s Eastern Economic Corridor project.

Mr. Phuangketkeow was a former President of the Human Rights Council, Fifth Cycle (2010 - 2011). He also served as Permanent Representative of Thailand to the United Nations Office in Geneva since 2007.

Prior to his appointment to Geneva, he had been serving as Deputy Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand since 2006. From 2002 to 2006, he was Director-General at the Department of Information and Spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
